CCO History
The Columbia Community Orchestra (CCO) launched their premier season in the Fall of 2005. The CCO was organized by members of the Benedict College and Community orchestra when Benedict College discontinued its orchestra program. The orchestra's goal is to provide "great music in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere for musicians and music lovers of all ages!" It is an exemplary model of life-long learning through the arts, with the concluding concert of its premier season featuring this adult orchestra accompanying area Suzuki students as young as 5 years of age. CCO members participate for the joy of making music, and they share in the orchestra's governance and policy making.

Concerts are free to the public, and contributions are welcome to help meet the expenses of a newly formed orchestra.
